Summertime and Service Opportunity

I love summertime. Picnics, baseball games, the sound of children playing outside, and warm weather. We've already had a great start to our summer with planting flowers downtown on West 9th and our church picnic. You can see some of those pictures by going here.
In all of the activities, let's not miss the opportunities we have to serve the city. Our vision statement is that Gateway Church strives to lead people to Love God, Live in Community, and Serve the City. This Saturday, June 20th, Gateway:West is doing a car wash 10 am to 1 pm at the West Park YMCA. All donations go to the YMCA's "Strong Kids" campaign. Directions can be found on the YMCA's website.
Could you give an hour or more to serve in washing cars? How about bringing your car to be washed and leaving a donation or letting friends know about it so that they will bring their cars? There are lots of ways to help out, so contact us if you can serve or have questions.
