What We Do

A large part of our vision at Gateway is to Serve the City. The reason we do this is two fold. We believe in Cleveland, and want to do whatever we can to see this region back on its feet. More importantly, we do this because of our love for God and His Love for us. We feel it is not only our responsibility, but a privilege to follow His example of love and service.

Serving Hot Dogs at a Carnival

While we strive to serve Cleveland, we do not want to ignore the needs of those around the world. Jesus commands us to not only serve locally (Jerusalem and Judea), but to the ends of the world as well.

We give a total of 10% of our general offering to missions. Some of this money stays in the greater Cleveland area and some of it goes internationally.

If you wish to join with us in our vision to Serve the City, please visit our events page or get connected with one of our Growth Groups.

Local

Buying Uniforms

Gateway strives to meet all sorts of needs throughout the city. Whether we are providing thanksgiving dinners or school uniforms for families, putting on carnivals for children in the inner city, cleaning up trash, or even planting flowers and trees downtown, we try to do what we can with the resources we have.

To help meet this end, we partner with like-minded organizations and churches around the city to try to become a catalyst for change.

Global

Water Filter Demo

Despite being a relatively new church, we try to have as much of a positive effect on the world around us as we can. We recently sent a team to northern Uganda to not only install water filtration systems, but to show people living there how to create their own and show others how to create them. We intend to send a team to do similar mission endeavors in each of the coming years.
